About Me
Louella Mesina is the newest addition to the Broadway Medical Clinic family. Louella also known as "Lou" is a nationally board-certified nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has been a nurse for 12 years and recently graduated with her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a concentration as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). She has a special interest in treating patients with heart and lung diseases, and women's health. She is passionate about patient education, as a patient advocate and preventor of illness. She is a former adjunct clinical faculty and nursing professor for local nursing schools in San Diego, California to undergraduate nursing students. She loves precepting new nurses, staff, and students. Her hobbies include traveling, water sports, cinema, being a food fanatic, and spending time with her family. Lastly, she aspires to give back to her community as a nurse practitioner, educator, and advocate for the nursing profession.
